| Obverse description | Central field displays a crowned Danish coat of arms — a quartered shield bearing the three lions passant of Denmark and the three crowns of Sweden — set within a beaded inner circle. The crowned shield is rendered in the bold, somewhat crude style characteristic of mid-16th century hammered coinage. A Latin circular legend surrounds the central device, reading the royal title of Christian III, King of Denmark. The coin exhibits the irregular flan shape and uneven strike typical of hand-hammered silver production of the period. |

| Reverse description | The reverse carries a five-line inscription in the central field, reading the denomination and monetary designation '4 SKILLI NCK DA NSKE' (4 Danish Skilling) with the date 1541 in Arabic numerals at the foot, flanked by cross ornaments. The central inscription is enclosed within a beaded circle, with a broad outer legend continuing the royal titulature across the periphery. The legends are separated by pellet stops and cross motifs consistent with Danish Renaissance coinage conventions. The strike is characteristically uneven with some flatness, as expected of hammered silver issues of this era. |
