Obverse description Square klippe flan struck from cannon metal, displaying the date 1715 split across the four corners of the field with the digits '1', '7', '1', '5' placed at upper-left, upper-right, lower-left, and lower-right respectively. At the centre top, a small circular punch bears the Wismar city arms device. Below the city arms punch, the numeral '4' is engraved in the upper central field, followed by the denomination legend 'SCHILL' and the mint name 'WISM' arranged in two lines within a wreath border composed of incuse herringbone or laurel-branch motif encircling the lower portion of the field. The overall execution is characteristically crude, consistent with emergency siege coinage produced under wartime conditions during the Great Northern War.
