| Obverse description | Within a beaded inner circle, the crowned royal cypher of King Carl XI — a large Gothic letter 'C' surmounted by a royal crown — occupies the central field. The monogram is rendered in a bold, decorative style characteristic of late 17th-century Swedish coinage. A circular legend in Latin surrounds the inner circle, reading continuously around the periphery of the coin. |
