| Additional information |
Cambodia issued a run of commemorative coins in 1991 marking the Barcelona Summer Olympics — an occasion carrying particular weight given that the country had been banned from Olympic competition for most of the preceding two decades following the Khmer Rouge period and the subsequent Vietnamese-backed PRK government's international isolation. The 1992 Games marked Cambodia's first Olympic participation since 1972.
