Obverse description Central field displays the royal arms of Castile and León: a quartered shield bearing alternating castles and lions, with a central escutcheon, surmounted by an ornate royal crown. Flanking the shield are the two Pillars of Hercules, each topped by a crown and draped with scrolling banners inscribed PLUS and VLTRA. The peripheral legend reads *FERNANDO *VII *REY *DE *ESPAÑA *Y *DE *LAS *INDIAS, separated by six-pointed star stops, running along the milled border. The design follows the standard royal arms type employed on New Spain colonial coinage of the period.

Reverse description The reverse presents a five-line commemorative inscription within an open field, enclosed by a wreath of laurel and olive branches tied at the base with a circular ornament. The text reads PROCLAMADO / EN QUERETARO / POR SU ALFZ. RL. / D.PEDRO SEPTIEN / AÑO . 1808, with the denomination mark *4R* centered below the inscription inside the wreath. The composition records the formal proclamation of Fernando VII at Querétaro, carried out by the Royal Ensign Don Pedro Septién. The reeded border frames the entire design with a uniform milled edge.
