Obverse description Laureate and draped bust of King Fernando VII facing right, with a ribbon tied at the back of the head. The royal effigy is rendered in a classical style consistent with Spanish colonial coinage of the period. The circular legend reads FERDIN · VII · DEI · GRATIA · with the date below the bust in the exergue area. The legend is interrupted by the portrait and rendered in Latin capitals throughout the field.
