Obverse description Crowned quartered shield of Castile and León at center, displaying alternating castles and lions in the four quarters, all within a beaded inner circle. The denomination numeral appears to the left of the shield. A partial Latin royal legend encircles the design in the outer field, partially visible on this cob flan due to the irregular striking characteristic of macuquina coinage.
