Obverse description Laureate and draped bust of King Charles IV facing right, rendered in high relief in the neoclassical style. The king's hair is tied at the back with a ribbon, and he wears a laurel wreath. The encircling legend reads CAROLUS IIII DEI GRATIA, divided by two pellets, with the date 1807 appearing in the lower exergual area below the bust. The entire design is contained within a finely toothed border.
