Obverse description Central field features the interlaced cursive cypher 'EA' (for Ernst August), rendered as an ornate script monogram with elaborate flourishes. The monogram is surmounted by a small princely crown. The design is set without a surrounding legend, the entire obverse field being occupied by the decorative royal cipher in a florid Baroque style typical of early 18th-century German minor coinage.

Reverse description A four-line inscription in the centre of the field denotes the denomination and issuing authority, with the mintmaster's initials appearing below the date. The legend reads 'FVRST. OSNABR. LAND. MVNTZ.' around or above the denomination 'IIII / PFEN / NING' with the date '1718' and mintmaster's initials 'AWH' at the foot. The reverse is enclosed within a beaded or dotted inner border, with the circular outer inscription referencing the Osnabrück territorial authority, consistent with standard small billon coinage of the Bishopric.
