Reverse description The denomination is expressed in a bold two-line inscription reading 'IIII' above 'PFENNING', set within a plain field and framed on either side by upright palm branches tied at the base. Small decorative ornaments occupy the spaces above and below the denomination text. The mintmaster's initials 'I.W.' appear in the lower field beneath the palm branches. The composition is simple and legible, typical of low-denomination German copper coinage of the period.
