| Obverse description | Central field dominated by the elaborate crowned interlaced cipher of Prince-Bishop Clemens August of Bavaria, formed by the intertwined initials C and A in cursive monogram style. The monogram is flanked on either side by large decorative acanthus leaf sprays curling outward, rendered in high relief and lending the design a pronounced Baroque character. An electoral or princely crown surmounts the cipher at the top of the field. The entire design is contained within a milled border, with no peripheral legend on this face. |
