| Reverse description | The reverse presents three horizontal lines of bold Nastaliq Persian script filling the entire field, recording the mint epithet and regnal year of issue. The uppermost line reads a pious invocation, the central band carries the mint name 'Patan' (Seringapatam) along with additional epithets including 'Roshni Fath Haidar', and the lower register bears the regnal year in the Mauludi calendar preceded by 'Sal' (year). Small floral rosette ornaments decorate the spaces between the text bands, and the design is enclosed within a plain inner border and a beaded outer rim. |
