Obverse description Central field features the elaborate crowned royal cipher of King Adolf Fredrik, composed of interlaced Gothic initials 'AF' surmounted by a royal crown. The monogram is rendered in a refined calligraphic style with foliate flourishes. The surrounding legend reads SALUS • PUBLICA • SALUS • MEA •, meaning 'The welfare of the people is my welfare', separated by raised dots and running along the full circumference of the coin.

Reverse description Central field displays an incuse circular depression containing three Swedish crowns arranged in a triangular formation, representing the traditional arms of Sweden. Above the depression, a royal crown is prominently struck. The denomination and mint indications are arranged in the field: '4.' and 'Ö.' flanking the circular device at the top sides, with 'S.' and 'M.' below, and the mintmaster's initials 'AL' with the date '1771' inscribed along the lower exergue.
