| Obverse description | Armored and crowned effigy of King Sigismund III in right-facing profile, the bust partially enclosed within an inner beaded circle. The last two digits of the regnal date appear divided by the bust at either side. A Latin legend runs continuously in the outer field beyond the circle, identifying the king as ruler of Sweden, the Goths, the Wends, and Poland. |
