| Obverse description | Draped and laureate bust of Charles XI as a youth facing left, with flowing curled hair tied at the nape and a laurel wreath, occupying the central field. The effigy is rendered in high relief with fine baroque detail in the drapery folds at the truncation. The peripheral legend in Latin capital letters reads CAROLVS·XI REX·SVECIÆ, separated by pellet stops, and is bounded by a raised beaded border running the full circumference of the flan. |
