| Obverse description | Central field features a traditional Nepalese tantric yantra design composed of a square framework with stepped projections at the cardinal points, enclosing a circular medallion at the centre bearing a trident symbol (trishula). The entire composition is rendered in the classical Nepalese coin style with decorative foliate scroll elements at the corners. Devanagari legends giving the royal name and titles of King Tribhuvana Bir Bikram Shah Dev are arranged within the compartments of the yantra, with the Vikrama Samvat regnal date 1971 inscribed in the lower register. The design is enclosed by a continuous border of raised beads. |
