| Obverse description | Crowned shield of arms bearing a rampant lion to sinister, set within a beaded inner circle. The charge is rendered in a bold, abbreviated Gothic heraldic style characteristic of late-medieval Low Countries hammered coinage. A partial Latin uncial legend surrounds the shield in the outer field, reading the lord's name. The flan is irregular, with weakness visible at the margins consistent with hand-struck production. |
