Additional information

The Kingdom of Sedang was not entirely fictional — it was a short-lived micronation proclaimed in 1888 in the Central Highlands of Vietnam by French adventurer Marie-Charles David de Mayréna, who styled himself King Marie I. His kingdom collapsed within a few years after European powers refused recognition and his backers withdrew. Modern fantasy issues invoking the name borrow that historical curiosity without any continuous institutional authority behind them.
