Reverse description Central field features a wreath of oak branches tied at the base with a decorative ribbon bow, enclosing the denomination 4 MARK and the date 1904 in two lines. The oak wreath, a traditional Germanic heraldic motif, is rendered in fine relief with naturalistic leaf detail. Surrounding the wreath, the circumferential legend reads FÜNFMARKSTÜCK LEBE WOHL, LEBT WOHL IHR THALER ALLE!, a farewell inscription lamenting the abolition of the 5-Mark coin and the Thaler. The entire design is contained within a beaded border, consistent with Imperial German coinage style.
