Obverse description Armored and laureate half-length effigy of King Gustav II Adolf facing right, his raised right arm bearing a scepter held behind the shoulder, a folded band visible across his figure. The Hebrew divine name Jehovah (יהוה) appears radiant in the field above the king's head, positioned within the inner legend circle. The effigy is encircled by a double-line border containing two concentric lines of Latin legend identifying the king as hereditary prince and designated King of Sweden by the Grace of God.
