| Obverse description | Large crowned royal cypher of Frederik III occupies the central field, partially enclosed within a beaded inner circle. The cypher is rendered in an ornate interlaced monogram style surmounted by an elaborate crown. The outer legend, running clockwise beyond the beaded circle, declares the denomination in Danish and is concluded by the date. The composition is bold and heraldic, characteristic of mid-17th-century Danish coinage. |

| Reverse description | A broad, flat-topped crowned shield bearing the quartered arms of Denmark is centrally positioned, partially within a beaded inner circle; the shield is notably wider than that found on KM#194.1. Behind the shield, a cross with short forked or bifurcated arm-ends extends into the four quarters of the field. The king's motto appears in the outer legend beyond the beaded circle, and a mintmark, when present, is placed to the left of the crown atop the shield. |
