Reverse description Central field features a crowned oval shield bearing the quartered arms of Denmark, partially enclosed within a beaded inner circle. A bold cross with broad arms extends behind the shield, filling the inner field and imparting a strong cruciform composition. The outer legend carries the royal motto of Frederik III, with the date of issue concluding the inscription. The combination of heraldic shield and cross reflects the devotional and dynastic iconography characteristic of Danish silver coinage of the period.
Reverse script Latin
Reverse lettering DOMINVS P | ROVIDEBIT 1659
(Translation: The Lord will be my guide)
