| Obverse description | Central field displays the crowned royal cypher of Frederik III, composed of an interlaced monogram incorporating the letter F surmounted by the numeral 3, all beneath a large royal crown with jewelled band. The monogram is rendered in relief within a beaded inner circle. The surrounding legend reads IIII · MARCK · DANSKE with the date 1653, distributed around the periphery between the beaded border and the inner circle, with the date appearing at the upper left and the denomination legend continuing to the right and lower portions of the coin. |
