| Reverse description | The denomination IIII MARC ACH inscribed in three lines within a lozenge-shaped (rhombus) cartouche, decorated with ornamental scrollwork and star ornaments at the angles of the rhombus. The circular legend surrounding the cartouche bears the abbreviated titles of Holy Roman Emperor Ferdinand III. The overall composition is characteristic of the hammered coinage of the Free Imperial City of Aachen in the mid-seventeenth century. |
