Obverse description A crowned Prussian eagle displayed in full, with wings spread and languid, wearing a secondary crown around the neck as a collar. At the center of the breast, the crowned royal cipher of Frederick II appears within the shield on the eagle's chest. The eagle clutches an imperial orb in its left talon and a sceptre in its right. The field is unlettered (anepigraphic), and the design is bordered by a fine beaded grenetis.

Reverse description The denomination expressed as four (IIII) in Roman numerals, flanked by floral ornaments, is presented in five horizontal lines within the field, followed by the abbreviated designation MARIEN GROS., the date in two parts (17 56), and the mint mark letter D. Each line is separated by horizontal rules, giving the reverse a formal typographic appearance consistent with mid-18th century Prussian billon coinage.
