Obverse description The arms of Brunswick depicted as a horse leaping to the left, rendered within a beaded inner circle. The numeral '4' appears in the exergue below the horse, denoting the denomination. The surrounding legend reads ANTON. VLRIC. D.G. DVX BR. ET LVN., identifying Duke Anthony Ulrich of Brunswick-Lüneburg as the issuing authority. The legend is interrupted at the base by the mintmaster's initial. The overall design is characteristic of the late Baroque coinage of the Lower Saxon Circle.
