Obverse description Central field dominated by the papal coat of arms of Innocent XI (Odescalchi), surmounted by the papal tiara and crossed keys, all within an elaborate baroque cartouche with foliate and scroll decoration. The shield displays the Odescalchi family arms rendered in fine relief. The circular legend INNOCENTIVS٠XI٠PONT٠MAX runs along the periphery in Latin characters. Mint master initials C٠G appear in the lower field beneath the coat of arms. The coin's edge shows a fine milled border.
