Obverse description Central field displays the impaled arms of the Archbishopric of Salzburg and the personal arms of Archbishop Sigismund von Schrattenbach, consisting of two oval escutcheons joined side by side beneath an archiepiscopal hat with tassels. The dexter shield bears the Salzburg arms (a black lion on gold with diagonal bar), while the sinister shield bears the Schrattenbach family arms. A patriarchal cross surmounts the combined achievement, flanked by ornate baroque scrollwork. The denomination numeral '4' appears in a cartouche at the base of the design.
