| Obverse description | Central field displays the elaborate quartered arms of the Bishopric of Würzburg, comprising the Franconian rake and the Ingelheim family arms, surmounted by a princely hat above a pontifical cross. The shield is supported by two ornate scrolled cartouche elements, with the numeral 4 appearing at the base of the escutcheon indicating the denomination. A beaded border frames the coin, with the bishop's legend encircling the entire composition. The engraving style is characteristic of mid-18th century German ecclesiastical coinage. |
