Reverse description A large floriated cross with elaborately foliated, lily-shaped terminals occupies the central field, enclosed within a twisted rope circle. The Latin legend DOMINUS*PROVIDEBIT runs around the upper portion of the coin between the rope circle and the outer dentilated border. The date 1789 is positioned in the lower exergual area beneath the cross, flanked by small decorative star stops.
