| Obverse description | Central field bears a three-line Arabic inscription within an oval cartouche, reading the issuer name Al-Ghurfah and the Hijri date 1344. The cartouche is flanked on either side by a stylized palm frond or olive branch, rendered in low relief against a flat field. A beaded border runs along the inner rim of the coin. |
