| Obverse description | Crowned shield of Hesse bearing the rampant Hessian lion facing left, the escutcheon surmounted by a pearl-bordered crown. The shield is flanked on either side by ornamental palm or feather branches curving outward, rendered in low relief. The coin's milled border runs around the entire circumference. No legend is present on the obverse. The design is executed in a compact, robust style typical of mid-18th-century German minor coinage. |

| Reverse description | The denomination is expressed in three lines across the field: four vertical strokes (IIII) at the top denoting the numeral four, followed by HELLER in the center, and the date below in Arabic numerals. Two small six-pointed stars flank the date at the bottom, with additional stars appearing in the upper field flanking the IIII strokes. The entire design is enclosed within a milled border. The lettering is bold and well-spaced in a Roman serif style consistent with contemporary Hessian coinage. |
