Reverse description Elaborate heraldic composition centered on the Imperial double-headed eagle displayed, surmounted by an ornate crown and bearing the Habsburg escutcheon on its breast. Surrounding the central shield are two concentric rings of subsidiary coats of arms representing the many territories and provinces of the Habsburg dominions, intricately engraved and carefully arranged. The whole is enclosed by a circular Latin legend within a beaded border proclaiming Maximilian's sovereignty over the diverse provinces of Europe.
