| Obverse description | Crowned quartered shield of arms of the Grand Duchy of Oldenburg, displaying horizontal lines in the first and fourth quarters and a cross patée in the second and third quarters, flanked by laurel branches. The initials 'N · D · C · F ·' are distributed in the field to either side of the crowned arms, serving as abbreviation for the grand ducal title. The crown above the shield is of elaborate form with arched design and cross finial. |
