Obverse description Central crowned elongated oval shield bearing the quartered arms of Bavaria and the Rhenish Palatinate, with a central escutcheon depicting the imperial orb. The shield is supported on either side by a rampant lion, with two chains of orders draped around the composition. The entire heraldic group rests upon an ornately decorated table or base, rendered in the Baroque style characteristic of mid-18th-century Bavarian coinage.
