Obverse description Central field displays the Salzburg Abbey coat of arms enclosed within a six-pointed star (Star of David form), with a small rosette ornament positioned in each of the six angles formed between the star's points. The heraldic shield is rendered in the Gothic style typical of 14th-century ecclesiastical coinage. The circumferential legend encircles the entire design, separated from the central motif by a plain inner border.
