Obverse description Standing full-length figure of a Swiss soldier (Tell-type warrior) facing left, wearing a broad-brimmed hat adorned with feathers, holding a furled banner in his right hand and a sword in his left. The figure is flanked by two oak branches (Quercus robur) bearing acorns, tied together with a ribbon above, forming a wreath-like frame around the legend. The date appears within the exergual area of the legend, and the overall composition is executed in a neoclassical style characteristic of late 18th-century Swiss coinage.
