| Obverse description | Draped bust of Queen Isabella II facing left, her hair elegantly coiffed and adorned with a ribbon, engraved in high relief against a flat field. The portrait, executed in the neoclassical style by Luis Marchionni, presents the queen with a naturalistic likeness typical of mid-19th-century Spanish coinage. The circular legend arcs around the upper portion of the coin, interrupted at the base by the date in the exergual area. A fine toothed border frames the entire design. |
