| Obverse description | Draped bust of Fernando VII facing right, depicted in military attire with an elaborate lace collar and epaulette visible at the truncation, rendered in a somewhat provincial style characteristic of the Guadalajara Royalist coinage. The effigy occupies the central field, with the date 1812 appearing in the exergue below the bust. The circumferential legend in Latin reads FERDIN•VII•D•G•HISP•ET IND•R, identifying the monarch as King of Spain and the Indies by the grace of God. A toothed border frames the entire design. |
