Reverse description The quartered Royal Arms of Spain displayed on a crowned shield at centre, comprising the castles of Castile and the lions of León in the first and fourth quarters, the pale of Aragon in the second quarter, and the chains of Navarre with the fleurs-de-lis of Bourbon in the lower quarters, all surmounted by the Royal Crown. The denomination numeral 4 appears to the left of the shield and the assayer initial S to the right. The circular legend AUSPICE DEO reads around the upper portion and ENITRO Q FELIX around the lower, with the mint mark LM and assayer initials IJ at the base, flanked by decorative floral sprigs and a fine denticled border.
