Obverse description Central five-line inscription within an ornate wreath of laurel branches reading REICHS / *TAG* / ZV REGEN / SPVRG / 1641, commemorating the Imperial Diet held at Regensburg. Surrounding the wreath, eight armorial shields of the Imperial Electors are arranged in a circular pattern, each depicted in detailed relief with their respective heraldic devices. At the top of the composition, a double-headed Imperial eagle with spread wings and crown presides over the arrangement. The overall design is executed in the elaborate German Baroque hammered style typical of mid-seventeenth-century Imperial commemorative coinage.
