| Obverse description | Central quartered coat of arms of the Archbishop of Salzburg, surmounted by a pontifical hat (galero) with tassels and crossed by a processional cross and crozier, with the date 86 flanking the lower portion of the shield. The elaborate escutcheon displays the arms of Salzburg and the personal arms of the archbishop. A circular rope-twist border frames the design, with the Latin legend running along the outer rim. |
