| Reverse description | A detailed and finely engraved façade of Salzburg Cathedral rendered in high relief at the centre of the field, depicted in baroque architectural style with twin towers, a central dome, and multiple registers of pilasters and niches. To the left stands the figure of Saint Rupert in episcopal vestments, and to the right Saint Virgil, also in bishop's attire, each serving as patron saints of Salzburg flanking the cathedral. Below the cathedral, two heraldic eagles and a globe are visible in the exergual area. The circumferential Latin legend naming the two patron saints of Salzburg runs around the entire periphery within a beaded border. |
