Obverse description Central panoramic view of the city of Nuremberg, depicting the urban skyline with towers, spires, and fortifications rendered in fine detail. Above the cityscape, two oval shields bearing heraldic arms flank a central crowned imperial eagle displayed, the whole arrangement surmounted by a six-pointed star. The circular legend reads MO: REIPUB: NORIBERG in the upper field, with the religious inscription SVB VENIAT FINIS IVDICIVM VE PIIS arranged across the lower portion of the field beneath the city view. The overall composition exemplifies the high artistic standard of Nuremberg's hammered gold coinage of the early seventeenth century.

Reverse description Boldly struck double-headed imperial eagle displayed, with wings spread, each head crowned separately beneath a single large crown, the breast unornamented. The eagle occupies nearly the entire field, with finely detailed feathering throughout the body and wings. The surrounding circular legend reads FERDINAND: II: D: G: ROM: IMP: SEMP: AUG: G: H: B: REX., identifying the Holy Roman Emperor Ferdinand II as overlord. The composition conforms to the standard imperial eagle type used on contemporary Nuremberg multiple-ducat gold issues.
