Obverse description Central motif depicting a large three-masted sailing vessel, the Atlantic Star, shown underway with full sails set, rendered in fine relief against a mirror-like proof field. Clouds are visible to the left of the ship, with a coastline suggested in the right background. The circular legend GOVERNMENT OF ANGUILLA arcs across the upper field, while the ship's name ATLANTIC STAR appears in a straight legend below the vessel within the inner beaded border. A decorative laurel spray ornaments the lower exergue, and the entire design is enclosed by a beaded border along the rim.
