Reverse description A large bold numeral 4 displayed at the centre of a decorative ornamental cartouche, denoting the denomination of four Cavalli. The cartouche is elaborately framed with scrollwork and foliate embellishments typical of mid-18th century Neapolitan coinage. The mint-master initials M·M· appear in the lower field flanking the base of the cartouche, and the date 1757 is inscribed in the exergue below. No peripheral legend is present.
