| Obverse description | Crowned royal cypher of Frederik VI occupying the central field, with the interlaced script monogram surmounted by a crown rendered in low relief. The design is primitively struck on an irregular flan, characteristic of the hand-struck coinage produced for the Danish settlements in India. No surrounding legend appears; the crowned cypher alone identifies the issuing monarch. |

| Reverse description | The denomination and date are boldly inscribed in two lines across the field: the numeral 'IV' and the word 'KAS' in the upper portion, with the four-digit date occupying the lower portion, all within a dotted border. The lettering is large and coarsely executed, consistent with local hand-struck production. On certain varieties the 'S' of 'KAS' appears in retrograde, distinguishing KM#159.2 from the standardized KM#159.1 issues. |
