Obverse description Central field dominated by a large retrograde royal cipher 'C6' in cursive script, surmounted by a stylized crown. The monogram is boldly rendered in raised relief against a plain field, characteristic of the hammered coinage produced for Danish India. The flan is irregular in shape, as typical of contemporary cast and struck copper issues from Tranquebar.
