Obverse description Central field features the Charminar gateway rendered in relief, with the Urdu initial 'Mim' (م) — representing 'Mahbub' — inscribed within the archway. A circular Urdu legend surrounds the central motif, reading the titles of Nizam Mir Mahbub Ali Khan: 'Asaf Jah' at the top, 'Bahadur' to the left, and 'Nizam Al-Mulk' to the right. The Hijri date (AH 1322) and regnal year (38th year of reign) appear in the lower portion of the legend. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded inner border and an ornate outer border composed of repeated geometric key-fret pattern elements, typical of Hyderabad State coinage of this period.
