| Obverse lettering | ELIZABETH II CANADA D·G·REGINA 2001 .99999 FINE GOLD 350 DOLLARS OR PUR (Translation: Elizabeth II Queen by the grace of God) |
| Reverse description | The reverse, engraved by Susan Taylor, presents a highly detailed naturalistic composition featuring a Mayflower (Epigaea repens) plant in full bloom, the floral emblem of Nova Scotia. Two branching stems bearing multiple rounded leaves of varying sizes emerge from the lower field, with clusters of small five-petalled flowers depicted in fine relief at the upper and lower portions of the design. The engraver's initials BR appear incuse in the lower central field near the base of the stems. The design fills the entire coin face with no surrounding legend, allowing the botanical subject to dominate the polished gold field. |
