Obverse description The obverse bears the fourth effigy of Queen Elizabeth II by Dora de Pédery-Hunt, depicting the monarch in right-facing profile as she appeared at approximately 64 years of age. The Queen is portrayed wearing the George IV State Diadem, a diamond necklace, and drop earrings, rendered in fine relief against a polished field. The surrounding legend reads ELIZABETH II CANADA D·G·REGINA, with the date 2001 and the inscriptions .99999 FINE GOLD, 350 DOLLARS, and OR PUR also present.
